Going green when wearing pink

Here in the wear it pink team, we’re passionate about being eco-friendly, and you’ve inspired us, with the wonderful ways you’ve kept events as environmentally friendly as possible. You really are the experts.

We’d love to share 1 of our standout moments, from wear it pink 2022, involving one of our brilliant supporters, Val.

She got her eco-conscious hat on and decided to use old materials to create some fabulous extras. She created a selfie frame, some goodie bags and even a lolly prize draw stand –  brilliant examples of recycling and reusing to create different standout moments.

Another brilliant way to stay eco-friendly is choosing second-hand clothes, rather than getting a new outfit. Why not go through your wardrobe, ask friends and family, reach out on social media or even ask your neighbourhood group? And see what pink clothing you can get your hands on.  It’ll help you be kind to your wallet too.

You can also stay conscious of how many extra materials you’re ordering, and even check out our online downloads, rather than ordering these in the post.

If you’re feeling worried about waste when ordering the fundraising pack, have no fear! Almost all the materials in the pack are recyclable, and when you register, you have the option to opt out of balloons if you’d like to.
