I called my daughter Jenny and asked if she’d be guest of honour at my Afternoon Tea. We were both quite tearful. Jenny had come through her treatment, and I thought it was an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate that things were looking positive.

When it comes to research, every second counts. And every hour in the lab brings us even closer to life-saving breakthroughs.

£100 could bring an expert speaker to a Younger Women Together event.
