About the group
Our Living with Secondary Breast Cancer group for younger women is a chance to meet other women under 45, share what’s on your mind and get tips and information on living with secondary breast cancer.
We hold the group on Zoom. You’ll be in a group of around 6-12 people and a qualified counsellor will facilitate. The group usually takes place on the third Tuesday of every month, from 1 pm to 2.30 pm. It’s a safe confidential space and you can attend as many or as few as you choose.
If you’d like to join our monthly Living with Secondary Breast Cancer online groups for younger women, you need to be:
- A woman aged 20 to 45
- Diagnosed with secondary breast cancer

FAQs
-
Are the groups accessible?
If you need support to attend our events, we’ll do our best to make reasonable adjustments. Get in touch with our services team by calling 0345 077 1893 or emailing us.
-
What happens after I’m registered?
We’ll send you an email each month inviting you to join our online group. To attend, you just need to reply to the email and let us know you’re joining. A few days before the event, we’ll email you with a Zoom link to join the session.
-
What if I don’t feel well enough to come?
We understand that you might not be able to make every session. If you could let us know in advance, that’d be great, but don’t worry if you can’t. We won’t get in touch to ask what happened.
-
Do I need to have my camera and microphone on?
If you can, keep your camera on during the meeting so the group feels more connected. If your computer doesn’t have a camera, don’t worry - just let us know in the chat. You’re welcome to keep your microphone on, but if you’re in a noisy environment, please mute yourself when you’re not speaking.
-
I have more questions, can you help?
Absolutely. Just email us at youngerwomen@breastcancernow.org or call 0345 077 1893. You can also read our full list of FAQs.
