Breast Cancer Now healthcare professional webinars and external training and events

Upcoming Breast Cancer Now webinars 

Facilitated by our clinical nurse specialists, our healthcare professional webinars are designed to support your practice and development.

Sessions are free to join and run for an hour. They include expert speakers covering a range of topics on breast cancer, treatments, side effect management and new developments. 

Participation certificates for your NMC revalidation are available following each webinar.

Please note, our webinars are only open to healthcare professionals in UK practice. This is because the information we share, produce and collaborate on is all based on UK clinical practice and guidelines. 

 

Nutrition and breast cancer: research through practice

15 October 2024, 7pm

In this webinar, World Cancer Research Fund will share their experiences of interpreting research on the impact of nutrition, diet, physical activity, and body weight in breast cancer survivors, highlighting the difficulties they’ve faced in doing so and sharing key takeaways from their reviews.

Acute oncology

In this webinar, acute oncology advanced nurse practitioner Cally Bruce will cover the role of acute oncology services and how embracing acute oncology as 'everybody's business' cultivates a culture of vigilance and compassion, to ensure early recognition and intervention of oncological emergencies thus improving patient outcomes and enhancing quality of care for cancer patients.

Prospective Surveillance and Risk Reduction for Lymphoedema and Cording During and After Breast Cancer Treatment

The British Lymphology Society are hosting a free webinar on prevention and management of lymphoedema and cording. It's for anyone involved in the care of people with breast cancer and will be presented by Cheryl Brunelle, Associate Director of the Lymphedema Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. New Developments in Breast Cancer Research - From Lab to Clinic

The British Association for Cancer Research will bring together clinicians, scientists and world-leading speakers to discuss the most recent developments in breast cancer research, including newly emerging breast cancer treatments such as DNA damage inhibitors and treatments designed to overcome chemo-resistance.
