Our healthcare professionals hub is a dedicated area for healthcare professionals where you can find out more about breast cancer and how it affects patients. It’s free to join and is open to all healthcare professionals.

By joining, you’ll get access to our:

  1. Recorded webinars facilitated by our clinical nurse specialists and featuring expert speakers covering a range of topics on breast cancer, treatments, side effect management and new developments
  2. Monthly healthcare professional bulletin delivered to your inbox full of updates, features and media articles
  3. Specialist interest groups for healthcare professionals

The hub is free to join and you can sign up online.

Specialised toolkits

  1. Fertility toolkit: To help you initiate a discussion with younger women about their fertility preservation options and make a referral to a fertility clinic. Access the toolkit
  2. Secondary toolkit: A range of resources including the case for change, developing your personal knowledge and skills, and ideas for improving the care of those with secondary breast cancer. Development and revalidation opportunities

We have a variety of opportunities for healthcare professionals to help with your development and revalidation. In particular, we’re always looking for healthcare professionals to check the accuracy of our patient information and provide feedback.

Our support services

We offer expert, tailored and friendly support services to enhance and complement the care you provide. We’re here to listen, understand, care and help people - from diagnosis, through treatment, and after hospital-based treatment finishes. Our courses are both online and face-to-face.

Here for You

Here for You provides people diagnosed with primary or secondary breast cancer personalised and timely access to all of Breast Cancer Now’s trusted information and specialist support via a single healthcare professional referral. We want to ensure that everyone diagnosed with breast cancer gets listened to and we’re here to introduce them to the support we offer at Breast Cancer Now. We tailor our conversations to the needs of the patients and help them access support that’s right for them, at the right time.

Patient information

We publish a wide range of patient information about breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and breast health. All our publications have been reviewed by clinical experts and are free to order and download from our website.

3. Improving standards of care

Service Pledge

Our Service Pledge is dedicated to improving breast care services. We work in partnership with patients and hospital staff to improve services, by giving patients and hospital staff a platform to voice what matters most to them and use their experiences to help make improvements for the future.

Standards of care for secondary breast cancer

To support the delivery of excellent patient care, we have developed pioneering standards of care for patients with secondary breast cancer. The standards aim to help healthcare professionals working in these fields. Read our standards of care for secondary breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Clinical Expert Group (CEG)

The Breast Cancer Clinical Expert Group is a multi-disciplinary group that brings together expert doctors, nurses, commissioners and patients from across England, to advise the NHS in England on best practice for breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and care. Breast Cancer Now sits on the Breast Cancer Clinical Expert Group and provides its secretariat.
