With the help of our Voices, we’ve produced 2 amazing new videos, celebrating the different ways that people affected by breast cancer are getting involved with our work and helping us be here for everyone affected by breast cancer.
What’s the project about?
In Breast Cancer Voices, we want to make sure that everyone affected by breast cancer has the chance to make a difference for people diagnosed in the future.
Part of this is about celebrating what we’ve already done together, to encourage more people to join us and get involved in our work.
As part of co-production week 2024 (1 to 5 July), we’ve created 2 new videos to do just this.
What have you done as a Breast Cancer Voice?
What does Breast Cancer Voices mean to you?
How did Voices get involved?
We asked Voices to send in video clips of themselves talking about something they’ve done as a Breast Cancer Voice, and what it means to them to be part of our community.
We then worked with our digital team to put together 2 videos to showcase our Voices’ amazing contributions.
What’s happened so far?
We’ve produced 2 Voices videos.
Our short video has been shared on social media, and is a taster about what Breast Cancer Voices means to our members, to get people excited about the community.
The longer video (at the top of the page) has been shared in our internal communication with staff, as part of co-production week. It's also been added to our Breast Cancer Voices homepage. It really highlights how being involved in our work is so valuable to people affected by breast cancer.
And it’s a great example of all the different ways our Voices are collaborating with us.
What are the next steps?
We’ll use the videos in future communications to raise awareness about the different ways people are getting involved in and shaping out work.
If you'd like to talk about what you've done as a Voice, and why you think it's important that people get involved in our work, you can sign up as a Voices case study. We'll in touch in the future about different ways to share your story.
