Voices in the fashion industry

Categories: Casting Call, Adaptive Fashion

If you’ve struggled to make fashion work for you following your breast cancer treatment, then you may be interested in applying for this show.

What’s the project?

A new four-part series called The Unique Boutique is in development for Channel 4, produced by BBC Studios Productions.

In this ground-breaking, uplifting programme, the team of Fashion and disability experts will design and create bespoke and beautiful outfits for the individuals who’ve been traditionally left out of the mainstream fashion industry by creating bespoke and adaptive fashion to meet the needs of the wearer.

They're currently on the lookout for people who would like to take part in the show who may have a range of different fashion or access needs – for example, a wheelchair user requires adaptive clothing for their day to day, something that doesn’t drag or cuffs that don’t rub. The fashion team would either amend existing items or create something new from scratch to best meet their needs.

If you’re interested in applying, you can read more about the programme in their press release.
