Thanking our breast care nurses

Categories: Patient & Carer

Record a 1-minute video thanking a breast care nurse for how they’ve supported you or a loved one so we can create a thank you video for our nurses conference.

What’s the project about?

The Nursing conference is a brand-new nursing conference for breast nurses. It’s a 1-day event that will provide both primary and secondary breast care nurses the opportunity to hear about exciting clinical developments, hear about best practices and network with peers from across the UK.

The conference is also a way for Breast Cancer Now to show support and say thank you to our nursing members.

As part of this, we want to create a video to show at the beginning of the conference. This will be a compilation of videos from various people showing appreciation to their breast care nurses.

Who can take part?

You can take part if you’d like to show your appreciation for a breast care nurse who’s had a positive impact on your, or a loved one’s, experience during breast cancer treatment and care.

Why do you want me to be involved?

Breast care nurses increasingly find themselves working under constraints and often feel physically and emotionally exhausted. Your words of encouragement and support will showcase the impact that their work has and will be a powerful motivation and support for the nurses.

What will you ask me to do?

We’d love you to record a 1-minute video on your mobile showing your thanks and appreciation for breast care nurses.

The videos will be compiled and screened at the opening of the Breast Cancer Now Nursing conference on 19 June 2024.

In the video, you could talk about:

  • How your, or a loved one’s, breast care nurse impacted your experience
  • A word of appreciation you’d like to convey to breast care nurses

You can read our guidance on recording a video on your mobile for some useful tips.
