Talking with children about breast cancer

Categories: Parents, Grandparents

Help us make our information more personal and relatable by sharing your experience as a parent or grandparent.

What’s the project?

Breast Cancer Now is looking for people to share their experience of talking to children or grandchildren about their cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Why do you want me to be involved?

By sharing your experience you’ll be helping to make our information more personal and relatable to other people going through a similar experience.

What will you ask me to do?

We would like to hear from parents or grandparents through a survey.

We would like to use your words and experiences in our booklet Talking with children about cancer. If chosen, we’ll use your quotes throughout the booklet to make the information relatable and personal.

We would only use your quote and first name in the booklet, and you can choose to use a different name if you would prefer.

Who can take part?

Parents or grandparents who have experience of talking with your children/grandchildren about breast cancer.

How do I get involved?

We want to make sure the quotes included help people to talk with their children and grandchildren about their diagnosis and treatment, so it would be useful if your answers contain helpful tips based on your experience.
