Shaping research to raise awareness about alcohol and breast cancer

Join an advisory panel to help guide research which aims to help women reduce their alcohol intake to reduce the risk of breast cancer.

What’s the title of the study?

Alcohol consumption and breast cancer: supporting women to reduce alcohol consumption

What’s the study about?

Alcohol use is associated with a greater risk of breast cancer, as well as having many other health impacts. Women aged 40-65 drink more alcohol than younger women, and may benefit from reducing their drinking.

Many people are not aware that there is a link between alcohol use and breast cancer. This study aims to increase knowledge about alcohol use and the risk of breast cancer and to support women to reduce their drinking.

The researchers are inviting women to join the advisory group to help guide and inform this study.

Who can take part?

Women aged between 40-65 who have experience of breast cancer.

Why do you want me to be involved?
