At this event, researcher Dan Leff from Imperial College, London, will talk about his results from the recent ‘MAMMOBOT’ study and discuss plans for the MAMMOBOT II Study.
The ‘MAMMOBOT’ project has developed a flexible growing robot which can navigate the mammary ductal tree. Through advanced imaging techniques, it aims to help detect whether women with nipple discharge also have breast cancer.
This could mean that women with nipple discharge don’t have to undergo surgery, but can have their ductal tree evaluated by the MAMMOBOT instead. It could also open up opportunities for new therapies to be used alongside it.
The talk will give you interesting updates about new technologies and techniques in breast cancer research.
People affected by breast cancer who are interested in hearing about updates in cancer detection and intervention.
