Test the new We Are Undefeatable app to help us understand what people need from the app and how it can best support people with long term health conditions to be active.
We Are Undefeatable is a movement supporting people with long-term health conditions. It’s been developed by 15 leading health and social care charities, including Breast Cancer Now, and is backed by expertise, insight and significant National Lottery funding from Sport England. The purpose is to support and encourage ways of being physically active that work with each person’s conditions, not against them.
For breast cancer, being physically active can help reduce your risk of developing the condition. Following a cancer diagnosis, being physically active can have a positive impact on recovery and can be beneficial in reducing recurrence.
There are a range of resources and tools available to support people to be more active, in ways that work for them on the We Are Undefeatable website.
To accompany the website, We Are Undefeatable is developing an app in collaboration with Good Boost that will help users become more active.
We’ve already completed several stages of testing and now we’re doing a soft launch of the app to ensure that our app is suitable for the people who we want to help.
We want people with a lived experience of breast cancer who’d genuinely use this application in their day-to-day life. Ideally, we’re seeking those who’d like to use the app continuously - i.e. not just a one-off for the purpose of this soft launch - so that we can understand not just the new user experience, but the existing, recurring user experience as well.
Ultimately, if this is something that would help someone living with a long-term health condition, or who’s inactive, to restart exercise, then we’d love to have them on board because we believe that this app can genuinely help them.
The purpose of the soft launch of the app is to help us understand how the We Are Undefeatable app works on a wider scale. It enables us to test in a more authentic way, so that we can understand any issues you have, or any elements they would like to see more of.
It’s important that the voices of those with breast cancer are incorporated into this project, so that the app created can support those who need it.
The app is being launched in the middle of June.
If you’re interested in taking part in the soft launch, we’ll ask you to download and sign up to the We Are Undefeatable app through your Android or iOS device.
We’d like users to use the app throughout the soft launch period as they’d normally use an app.
Once the soft launch has closed, Good Boost, the app developer, will be reaching out to different users to conduct user testing. These users will be selected based on their behaviours within the app. You don’t have to take part in the if you don’t want to.
You may be invited to either take part in either virtual group exercise sessions or solo exercise sessions (all classes are virtual through the app, so no travel is required). This will be with the aim of improving your activity and overall wellbeing.
This opportunity has expired. You can check out our Share your voice page for more ways to get involved.
