Improving waiting times for breast cancer diagnosis

Categories: Breast Pain, Women

Take part in a study that’s looking at a new way to reduce waiting times for a breast cancer diagnosis.

A new approach to diagnose cancer with reduced waiting times.

What’s the study about?

Researchers are wanting to know whether people would choose an alternative method of breast cancer diagnosis which could help to reduce waiting times.

They’ve developed a survey to understand whether people would choose the alternative or the current method. This will help them understand people’s expectations and needs in breast cancer diagnosis, and whether patients think the new method is attractive.

Who can take part?

Women between 16 and 80 who’ve had to wait for a diagnosis appointment following breast pain, whether they’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer or not.

Why do you want me to be involved?

Your responses will help researchers understand your priorities and expectations in breast cancer diagnosis, and how this affects which options you choose.

This will help them confirm whether the proposed option to reduce waiting times will benefit patients.

What will you ask me to do?

You’ll be asked to complete a survey. The survey will explore your feelings towards a new way to reduce waiting times for a breast cancer diagnosis.
