Help us raise awareness of the importance of breast screening

Categories: Personal Diagnosis, Screening

Share your experience of breast screening, and why you think it’s important, to help us promote our #NoTimeToWaste campaign.

What’s the project about?

Breast screening is vital to detect breast cancer early and save people’s lives. But, the screening programme in the UK is at breaking point.

We’ve launched our #NoTimeToWaste petition to demand that the government fix it so that people can have access to life saving breast screening.

We’re looking for people who would be willing to talk about how screening has helped them. This will strengthen our petition and encourage more people to sign it.

Who can take part?

You can take part if you were diagnosed with breast cancer through screening. Or, if missing a screening appointment meant that you weren’t diagnosed as soon as you could have been.

We're also producing a short video to promote breast screening to people in black and south Asian communities. We're looking for people from these communities who'd be willing to share their story and be filmed for the video.

Why do you want me to be involved?

If 100,000 sign our petition, it will have to go for debate in parliament.

Your story will help us reach that number by shining a light on the importance of the breast screening programme. It will help highlight why urgent investment is needed.

What will you ask me to do?

We’ll ask you to fill out our tell us your story form, where you’ll be able to share about you experience of screening and breast cancer diagnosis.

Once you’ve filled this in, a member of our digital team will be in touch with you about how they want to use your story.

You may be asked at a later date whether you'd like to be filmed for a short video about your experience of breast screening.
