Have you donated tissue to the Breast Cancer Now Biobank?

Categories: Case Study, Biobank, Research

We’re seeking people who have donated tissue to Breast Cancer Now’s Biobank to share their thoughts and experience to support communications activity.

What’s the project?

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Breast Cancer Now Biobank. The biobank allows scientists to study breast tissue samples, breast cells and blood from patients to understand how breast cancer acts, grows and spreads.

We are planning integrated communications campaign this summer to celebrate this milestone for the biobank and we are seeking people who have donated tissue to support activities by sharing their thoughts and experience.

Why do you want me to be involved?

This is an important opportunity for Breast Cancer Now to talk about the difference the biobank is making, link research to personal stories, and thank supporters. By sharing your thoughts, motivations and experience of donating tissue you will help us to link our research to patient experience, and encourage others to find out more about the Tissue Bank.

What will you ask me to do?

The personal experiences you share with us may be used in media activity, on digital and social media channels, and in internal communications to our staff as part of activity around the 10-year anniversary for the biobank. We will always get in touch to ask your permission before we use your story and we will contact you each time we would like to use it in a communication outside of Breast Cancer Now.

Who can take part?

We are looking for people over the age of 18 who have donated tissue to Breast Cancer Now’s Biobank.
