Join a free event in Edinburgh to find out more about breast cancer research in Scotland.
The Oikonomidou Research Group is hosting an in-person event in Edinburgh to tell you about their cutting-edge research into breast cancer detection and treatment. You’ll also hear from someone with experience of breast cancer about their experiences and their insights.
You’ll have a chance to ask the researchers about their work
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and globally. Around 55,000 women and 370 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. In Scotland, every year around 4,700 people are diagnosed with breast cancer.
At this event, you’ll hear about current breast cancer research, which is vital to save lives and to develop effective, new and personalised treatments, so that people with breast cancer live longer and have a better quality of life.
Anyone interested in finding out more about breast cancer research. And, people who are able to travel to Edinburgh for the event.
