Developing support for gynaecological issues, sex and relationships

Categories: Patient & Carer, Sex & Relationships

Share your experience of side effects related to gynaecological issues, sex and relationships to help researchers develop a programme of support for people affected by them.

What’s the project about?

Many women may experience side effects related to gynaecological issues, which can affect sex and relationship. Breast Cancer treatment can also have physical effects which can impact intimacy and sex.

Researchers and clinicians at University College London are starting a programme of work to develop ways to support women with side effects relating to gynaecological issues, sex, and relationships.

They’d like to hear from people who’ve been affected by these issues, to help them ensure that the programme is providing the right support.

Who can take part?

Anyone affected by these kinds of issues. This can be women who are experiencing these kinds of side effects, or partners and family members.

Why do you want me to be involved?

By sharing your experiences, you can ensure that the researchers are asking the right questions so the programme offers the right support for people affected by genealogical, sex and relationship issues.

What will you ask me to do?

The researchers would like to hear your experiences to help guide the early stages of the project. You can either have a short call with one of the researchers, or join a focus group.

If you’d rather, you can also email the researchers with your experiences. People who take part in a call or focus group will be reimbursed for their time.

There’s also the opportunity to stay involved further in the project.
