Developing our secondary breast cancer services

What’s the event about?

At Breast Cancer Now, we want to make sure that everyone with secondary breast cancer gets the support they need to live as well as possible.

We know there’s more we can do to support people living with secondary breast cancer, and we’re currently looking at expanding our support services so we can do just this.

We’re holding some online events to let you know about the range of support we offer for people with secondary breast cancer, new developments and how we're responding to feedback, and ways that you can share your voice to help shape the future of our secondary breast cancer services.

Who can take part?

Anyone with secondary breast cancer, or who is a family member or carer for someone with secondary breast cancer is welcome to come to the events.

You don’t have to have used our secondary breast cancer services.

Why do you want me to be involved?

We want to make sure that a wide range of people with secondary breast cancer can shape our future developments. And we want more people to know about the support we offer.

In order to be able to offer support to more people living with secondary breast cancer, we need to hear from you about what matters, so we can make sure we offer services that people need. At this event, we want to share our commitment to delivering more and better support, so that you know we're here for you, and to encourage more people to share their voice, offer their ideas, and get involved.

What will you ask me to do?

We’re holding 2 online events via Zoom that will each last about an hour. The events are the same - so just choose one date that works for you. They'll be held on:

• Wednesday 31 July at 6.30pm
• Monday 5 August at 2.30pm

At the event, you’ll learn more about:

• The range of support services we currently offer those living with secondary breast cancer
• What the team plans to do to offer more support to more people with secondary breast cancer, including how we're acting on feedback
• How you can get involved – whether that’s giving your feedback on our services, sharing an idea, or becoming a member of the soon to be launched advisory group for this work.

We’ll make sure to include time at the end for questions.
