Take part in a focus group to help us understand what support people get from clinical nurse specialists, and what needs to change.
Clinical nurse specialists (CNS) are crucial to providing a high standard of care for people with secondary breast cancer. They provide expert advice and support for people living with secondary breast cancer and help them make decisions, access information and medication. They can also provide support for family and friends.
However, we know that not everyone living with secondary breast cancer have access to a CNS. Our policy team is working to ensure that more people are able to get the support they need from a CNS.
They want to hear from people living with secondary breast cancer about what support, if any, they receive from a CNS. This will build on insights obtained from our 2019 research on this topic.
We’d like to hear from anyone who has been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in the last 5 years, since we last collected insights into people's access to a CNS. You can live in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales.
You can also participate whether or not you receive support from a CNS.
By taking part, you’ll support Breast Cancer Now in its work to improve access to a CNS for people with secondary breast cancer.
We’d like to invite you to an online focus group on Monday 9 September.
The focus group will run for 1 to 1 and a half hours, and you’ll have the chance to discuss
