Spotting signs of breast cancer recurrence

Take part in an interview or focus group to help researchers better understand people’s experiences of recognising and reporting signs of breast cancer coming back.

What’s the study about?

Researchers want to understand people's experiences of recognising and reporting signs of breast cancer recurrence.

They’re developing new resources to help people with breast cancer feel more confident to recognise and report any signs of their cancer coming back.

Who can take part?

You can take part if you’ve been treated for breast cancer in the last 10 years, and you live in the UK.

This includes:

  • People who have or have had primary breast cancer
  • People with secondary breast cancer
  • People whose cancer has come back
  • People who’ve been diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS).

Why do you want me to be involved?

By gathering your thoughts and learning from your experiences, the researchers want to develop a resource that will help people with breast cancer in the future.

What will you ask me to do?

You can take part in either an informal 1-to-1 interview with a researcher, or an online group discussion with other people with breast cancer.

The 1-to-1 interviews will be held via zoom or telephone, and the group discussion via zoom.
