Assist researchers who are trying to better understand how a breast cancer diagnosis can impact different lifestyle behaviours, such as physical activity and alcohol consumption.
What's the title of the project?
The impact of a breast cancer diagnosis on lifestyle behaviours
What's the project about?
Researchers are hoping to find out about different lifestyle behaviours (including physical activity, alcohol consumption, eating habits and smoking) in people who have been diagnosed with primary breast cancer. This includes people’s awareness of current lifestyle recommendations, and factors that influence people’s behaviours. Information collected from the survey will help them to find the best ways to support people to make lifestyle changes, if this is something they wish to do.
What are the criteria for taking part?
People aged 18 and over who have finished treatment (excluding hormonal treatment) for primary breast cancer within the last 10 years and who also reside in the UK.
What do I need to do?
If you decide that you would like to take part in this study, you will be asked to complete a survey about your views on the topic of the study. The survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete in full.
At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you may also be interested in taking part in an interview with a researcher (either via telephone or Zoom) and if so to leave your contact details. If you do so, a researcher will contact you and answer any questions and arrange a convenient time and date for an interview.
