Hosted by Breast Cancer Now, the UKIBCS brings together those with an active interest in breast cancer research and treatment, to share and learn from one another – and puts people affected by breast cancer at the heart of the agenda.
What’s the event?
On 24–25 January 2022, Breast Cancer Now will be virtually hosting the third UK Interdisciplinary Symposium (UKIBCS).
The UKIBCS aims to provide all those with an active interest in breast cancer research and treatment an opportunity to consider and discuss how the latest advances may impact upon their and other's areas of expertise.
We welcome the participation of many patient advocates whose involvement in and advice on our research is often critical to its success.
What’s on the agenda?
The programme includes speakers from the UK and beyond on the latest developments in:
- Prevention and early diagnosis
- Early breast cancer – diagnosis and local treatment
- Early breast cancer – systemic treatment
- Metastatic breast cancer treatment
- Translational and basic science
- Living with and beyond breast cancer
- The future of cancer services and research
Why should I attend?
Research into improving our understanding of this complex disease and prospects for improving its prevention and treatment also require interdisciplinary collaboration to make meaningful advances. Patients are at the heart of this collaboration, and patients play a key part in this symposium.
As this event is virtual, we’ve made registration free this year, so you can attend all the live sessions via your laptop, PC, tablet, or other mobile device.
