Join a workshop and share your thoughts and experiences of cancer treatment in South Wales to enable more person-centred cancer care.
What’s the project about?
Researchers want to understand the opinions and experiences of people who’ve received cancer treatment in South Wales.
They’ll be holding a 1-day workshop to learn what people who have experience of cancer think about their care, what a good quality of life means for them. And, how they’d feel about using technology to improve cancer care.
Who can take part?
Anyone who’s had, or currently have, any form of cancer and have received cancer treatment in South Wales.
You can also take part if you’re very close to someone who has.
Why do you want me to be involved?
By taking part in this study and sharing your perspective, you’ll be helping to improve cancer treatment in South Wales and beyond.
The only way cancer care professionals and researchers can achieve the highest quality care is with the help of patients who are happy to share their thoughts and experiences.
What will you ask me to do?
You’ll be invited to a 1-day workshop at Swansea University with several other people with cancer experience.
In this workshop, you’ll share your experiences and opinions about your cancer care. This will include how you felt and where you feel things could have been done better.
As a group, you’ll also explore how technology could be used to improve cancer care.
Your travel expenses will be paid, and you’ll receive a £25 gift card to thank you for your participation.
