How to set up your JustGiving page

JustGiving

JustGiving allows you to create your own online fundraising page, where your friends, family or colleagues can donate by credit or debit card. Once your page is set up, donations come straight through to Breast Cancer Now - so no worrying about trips to the bank!  

Your online page is also a great place for you to share your story and give regular updates on your progress.

1. Go to our JustGiving page and click the click the button that says 'Fundraise for us' or 'Start fundraising'
2. Log in to your account, or create a new account if you don’t already have one
3. Select your event type. If your fundraising event doesn’t fit into any of the categories provided, choose ‘doing your own thing’
4. Fill out the form on the next page and choose your web address. This is the link you’ll be sharing with friends and family when asking them to donate
5. Click ‘Create your page’. Congratulations - your page is ready! ​

Personalising your page is simple and can make a huge difference to your fundraising. Here are some of our favourite tips on how to make your fundraising page look its best:

Now your page is set up, it’s time to shout about it! And if you’re not sure how, look no further than our handy list of hints: 

1. Don’t be afraid to share your JustGiving page far and wide. You can do this via email, Whatsapp or social media. Let everyone know why you’re raising money for Breast Cancer Now and what you’re planning for your fundraising - your followers will love to hear all about it! 
2. Why not ask those who donate to share your page too? JustGiving has share buttons for your sponsors to do this - so it couldn’t be simpler.  
3. Create a QR code for your fundraising page, which you can display on the day to make collecting online donations a breeze. Check out JustGiving’s easy step-by-step guide for how to do this.  

And finally… be persistent. Don’t be afraid to put the ask out more than once, both on social media and in emails. Many people mean to donate but then forget, so a little reminder can go a long way.

Let us know when you’ve finished fundraising

We like to give you a few weeks after your event date to collect any final donations, before sending a thank you letter - so pop us an email when you're sure all the money has come in and we’ll post a letter out, to thank you for your incredible fundraising!
