A #NoTimeToWaste campaign win

Breast screening saves lives from breast cancer. But right now, the number of people taking up their invite to screening in England is worryingly low.

That’s why, as part of our #NoTimetoWaste campaign, we’ve been calling for a national breast screening awareness campaign, to encourage more people to attend their appointment when invited.

You spoke, they listened

Over 55,000 of you made your voices heard and backed our call. And thanks to that support, NHS England has now agreed to run a national breast screening awareness campaign.

We want to say a massive thank you to everybody who backed our call. Together we’ve secured action to get more women screened. And that means more lives saved from breast cancer.

We’re looking forward to working closely with NHS England to make this campaign as successful as possible.

When I heard that NHS England was launching a national screening awareness campaign, I was so happy, and really proud to have played my part in achieving it by supporting Breast Cancer Now's #NoTimeToWaste campaign.
