We speak to Leanne about how she built a community for herself after her breast cancer diagnosis. Once her treatment stopped, Leanne couldn't find any support that she felt related to her. Leanne has set up Black Women Rising, a platform for black women to connect with one another about their breast cancer experience.
A lot of my work now is trying to bridge the gap - get people talking more and get services listening more... so that people don't feel traumatised years after treatment.
