It’s all too easy to take for granted, but there is nothing in life more valuable than time. Few understand this better than the 61,000 people living with incurable secondary breast cancer in the UK. For them, time means uncertainty. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t hope.
This exhibition was made to show what that hope looks like. Created in collaboration with people living with the disease, it combines camera work from renowned photographer Jillian Edelstein with AI to bring to life the moments they hope to see, with the extra time they hope to have. A powerful reminder of the value of time and the importance of our research into secondary breast cancer.

Renowned photographer Jillian Edelstein created each AI portrait, working in collaboration with Untold Studios and 10 people with incurable secondary breast cancer.
What research are we doing into secondary breast cancer?
Secondary breast cancer occurs when breast cancer cells spread from the first (primary) breast cancer in the breast, through the lymphatic or blood system, to other parts of the body. Our researchers are here working to buy more time for people with secondary breast cancer.
