Away from work

It’s really important to us that you take time away from work to relax and recharge. We’re here to make sure it happens.   

  1. 25 days annual leave a year, plus an additional day for each full year worked (up to 30 days)
  2. The option to sell additional day(s) of leave every year
  3. The option to buy additional day(s) of leave every year
  4. All bank holidays off work and paid time off between Christmas and the new year
  5. Unpaid sabbatical leave for up to 6 months 

Family

If your family is growing, or you need to take time out to care for a loved one, we’re here to help make life as easy as possible. 

  1. Enhanced paid maternity and adoption leave
  2. Enhanced paid shared parental leave
  3. Enhanced paternity leave
  4. Paid dependants leave (up to 5 days)

Money matters

Managing our money is becoming more important than ever. We’re here to make sure you can save for the future and your pay is fair.   

  1. If eligible, annual pay increases are paid on 1 August
  2. Automatic enrolment into our contributory pension. This is from 2 months of employment or, if you prefer, you can choose to enrol from day 1
  3. Employer pension contributions up to a maximum of 8%
  4. Life assurance scheme (4 times annual salary)
  5. Season ticket and bicycle loan schemes to help spread the cost of an annual travel pass or new bike over 12 months

Health and wellbeing

Taking care of ourselves can sometimes fall down our to-do list. We’re here to help make sure it doesn’t.  

  1. Claim back money for some health costs and treatments including optical, dental, physiotherapy, chiropody and more
  2. Get 24/7 support through our Employee Assistance Programme
  3. Join support groups for colleagues who've been diagnosed with breast cancer; who have a disability or long-term health condition, or are a parent or carer

Social and lifestyle

We spend our days working with a drive and energy to help others. But we’re here to make sure you enjoy yourself too. 

  1. Regular events organised by our social committee 
  2. Social clubs, teams and groups like a book club, running club, mixed netball team, fantasy football league and fantasy F1 league 
  3. Make a difference somewhere else too with the opportunity to volunteer at another charity or non-profit organisation

From your first day, we’re here to help give you opportunities to learn and grow while you work – in a way that suits you.  

  1. You’ll get a full induction to make sure you feel welcomed and settled in your new role 
  2. You’ll automatically join our very own training and development platform, Learning Now, and get free access to LinkedIn Learning 
  3. The opportunity to understand yourself and your teammates better through a behaviour colour profiling programme 
  4. We also run a mentoring and coaching programme, no matter what level of the charity you’re at  
  5. You can join group coaching sessions (we call them action learning sets) where you can come together with others at a similar level and experience to you   
  6. Managing people in your role? You can also join our accredited leadership and management development programme
