Give a life-changing gift this Giving Tuesday

Breast Cancer Now has a number of ways that you can support our cause. Here are 10 things you can do this Giving Tuesday.

It's the season for giving, and Breast Cancer Now has a number of ways that you can support our cause. Here are 10 things you can do this Giving Tuesday.

1. Give our researchers a message of support

If you’ve got some time to spare between wrapping presents and decorating the tree, why not drop our researchers a message of support? We fund over 340 of the world’s brightest researchers who are busy making life-saving breast cancer research happen over Christmas.

2. Give a donation

We know that Christmas is an expensive time of year, but we’d really appreciate anything you can give to Breast Cancer Now. Your donation will help to make sure the world-class research taking place in our labs and the life-changing care and support we provide to those who so desperately need it continues.

3. Give your time

One thing on our wish list this year is more volunteers. We wouldn’t be where we are today without all the wonderful people who give their time to help us with events and fundraisers, so why not check out if there’s anything you’d like to get involved with

4. Give awareness

While you’re surrounded by your loved ones this holiday season, make sure to make them aware of the importance of TLC: Touch, Look, Check. A third of women do not check their breasts regularly, and 20% don’t know how to check. Share our TLC infographic with your friends and family to make sure everyone knows what to look out for.

5. Give a challenge a go

For the more adventurous elves out there, you might want to give a challenge a go! Get involved with everything from short-distance walks to high-energy adrenaline events – and raise some money while you’re at it.

6. Give a gift in wills

If Breast Cancer Now has helped you or someone you care about, we would be honoured to receive a donation from you in your will. Every gift helps us fund essential research and support and helps us work towards our goal that, by 2050, everybody who is diagnosed with breast cancer lives – and lives well.

7. Give a cheer at our events

Even if you can’t participate in any of our events first-hand, we’d still love to have you join in to (Christmas) cheer at the sidelines. Your support means everything to our fundraisers, and you help us so much by coming along.

8. Give your story

For people with breast cancer, the holidays can be difficult – especially if they’re feeling alone. If you have a story to share about your experience with breast cancer, you can give the gift of hope and solidarity to someone else affected by breast cancer.

9. Give the lottery a play

Our lottery is just like giving a donation, but with a fun twist. For just £1 a week, you could be in with the chance of winning up to £1000. Not only will you be supporting life-changing research and care, you’ll also and potentially scoring a surprise present for yourself, too.

10. Give us a Christmas Carol

To really get into the festive mood this Giving Tuesday, come along to our annual Carols by Candlelight service on Monday 9 December at St Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge. Enjoy mulled wine, mince pies and an evening of special performances. It’ll be a night to remember.

Anything you can give this Giving Tuesday will help us to provide support for today and hope for the future.
